Another Purse or two

This past weekend I felt like making another purse so I went to the fabric store to see if any fabric called my name. Courtney was with me and she said she wanted a bag to keep her gym clothes in so I also got some fabric for her. So Saturday night I made hers:







And it turned out cute so I thought I would make mine the same but not so deep.

So Sunday morning I made mine and it turned out like this:



It wasn't quite what I was picturing so I was messing around with it and turned the band down and it was so much cuter. So this is it now:

Dr. Suess' B-Day

Cristian's class is celebrating Dr. Suess Day tomorrow by wearing crazy hats.

He has been asking me for a week to make him a cat in the hat hat, so tonight I did.

He was asleep by the time I got it done so I tried it out on Caleb. I hope it fits Cristian's noggin 'cause he has a big one. We shall see in the morning.

Great Finds

So I went to DI yesterday while I was waiting for the fabric store to open and I found these:



A Yamaha electric piano. Guess how much....? $45.00 And it works.

So I took it apart there and loaded it into my car. Took it home, wiped it down, and played a little popcorn popping to break it in.

The bench is kind of ripped so this morning I did this:





I recovered it with some fabric that I bought to recover a rocking chair that will probably never get covered. I like how it turned out. Better yet I am so glad I found such a great deal.

Next...... we have this beauty. A gynormous paper mache giraffe. I don't know why I bought it but I just had to have it. And for $5.00 who could pass up a deal like that? Not me.






I think it used to be in the Springville library. It is about 5 feet tall.

Can you picture me stuffing this and that piano all in my car? I did it.
